How to Use This Toolkit: Early Childhood Advocates

Thank you for your interest in supporting the early childhood community through the Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit (CCTC). We hope you will use this toolkit to help spread the word about the CCTC. This toolkit includes the following materials:

  • FAQ sheet: This FAQ provides information on the CCTC, how to use it, and its benefit to the community.

  • Customizable letters: Please use these letters to reach out to your partners who have potential child care provider or donor networks. The letter explains more about the CCTC and the need for quality child care in Colorado.

  • IRS FORM DR 1318: This form is for unlicensed child care organizations that would like to register to be a licensed child care facility. To receive the CCTC, the child care center must be registered.

  • IRS Form DR 1317: This form is to be completed by the donee organization, then given to the donor after a donation has been made. Donors must submit this form with their Colorado income tax return when claiming the CCTC.

  • Website/newsletter copy: Please use this copy in your organization’s newsletter or add it to your website.

  • Flier:  Post this informational flier in your organization. 

  • Brochure: This brochure has information on the CCTC and can be used to educate and fundraise. 

  • Sample social media posts (Facebook and Twitter): These provide information on the CCTC. Post these on your social media pages. (Coming soon!)
