Santhosh Ramdoss Joins Gary Community Investments as Vice President, Impact Investing
Gary Community Investments, (GCI) which includes The Piton Foundation, welcomes Santhosh Ramdoss as vice president, impact investing. Serving as a member of the leadership team, Santhosh will lead the charge both internally and externally in establishing and implementing a cohesive impact investing strategy, with a particular emphasis on increasing the number of opportunities and investments made into for-profit companies. He will also lead The Piton Foundation’s programs known as Get Ahead Colorado, Tax Help Colorado, Shift Research Labs and Futurebound to help them scale their impact and develop sustainable and independent business plans.

Santhosh has 15 years of experience working in the intersection of finance, markets, and impact. Most recently he led the impact investing strategy and execution at the Skoll Foundation, managing grants and investments that helped support the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. Prior to that he was the director of investments at the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation where he helped lead the foundation’s investments in financial services, fintech, and workforce readiness, creating a path for marginalized families towards economic security and financial wellbeing. Santhosh began his impact investing career at the global microfinance pioneer, BRAC where he helped the organization raise capital, launch, and scale greenfield financial services institutions in sub-Saharan Africa.
Growing up in India and being a new immigrant in the United States continue to shape Santhosh’s passion for creating economic opportunities that help underserved communities. He is also passionate about the power of grassroot political movements, having spent two years as a community organizer in his home state of Tamil Nadu in India.
Santhosh recently moved to Denver, Colorado with his partner and 4-year old daughter who loves books and is obsessed with Frida Kahlo.
